How to extend battery life on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4?

Got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4? Well, this is a popular smartphone in the Indian smartphone market right now and while this smartphone comes with good features the battery is one of the key highlights. The battery performance is stellar on this smartphone.

Tips to extend battery life on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

In any case, if you own the device then, today we will be discussing how to extend the battery life of the device. We have few tips that might help you in increasing battery longevity of your device. While the tips we are about to discuss are pretty common, sometimes we just ignore these features and do not usually make use of it. However, we are hoping that this post will once again help you get the maximum and better user experience from your smartphone.

Here are some tips for your battery not to die on you so fast.

Static wallpaper Static wallpaper Well when you look at live wallpapers on your screen it is pretty amazing. However, the downside of this feature is that the animations used consume more battery than normal static wallpaper. Therefore, you can extend your Redmi Note 4 battery life by switching over to normal wallpapers. You can choose set "normal" wallpaper by going to: Settings> Wallpaper. Restrict Background Activity Restrict Background Activity The Redmi Note 4 comes with a feature that manages the app's battery usage. So if you switch on this feature, the apps running in the background will be restricted and monitored to reduce battery usage. You can choose which apps and its functions will be restricted. You can enable this feature by going to Settings>Battery>Manage app battery usage Schedule Power Saving Mode Schedule Power Saving Mode The Redmi Note 4 also comes with a feature that allows you to schedule when you want to enable power saving mode. Basically, you can set a time frame, for example, 10 pm to 6 am for which the ultimate power saving mode can be enabled automatically. Most of the app's activity will be frozen when this mode is enabled. You can enable this feature by going to Settings>Battery>Power>Battery Saver>Schedule time Airplane Mode Airplane Mode While most of the smartphones come with this feature it is always an effective way to save your battery by switching your phone to airplane mode when it's not required. Doing this actually saves more power than turning off your smartphone. Adjust brightness Adjust brightness Setting the brightness level close to maximum will eat up the battery very quickly. Therefore the most efficient way to save battery is to keep it in the middle or maybe a bit closer to the minimum but still bright enough to read. The phone also supports automatic adjustment of brightness, which comes in handy with different conditions. You can adjust the brightness by swiping down from the top of the smartphone. You can try all of these options together to improve your battery life.

9Facebook Hack and Tricks you Can Use

9 Facebook Hacks and Tricks Anyone Can Use

You can have a much better Facebook experience by employing a few simple tricks.

Think you've been on Facebook so long that you know all the ins and outs? Guess again. As Internet-savvy as you may feel, there are always little tips and tricks that you probably didn't know that will simply change your life. Here are 9 essential Facebook hacks you need but didn't even know you did.

1. Use Facebook without downloading the app

One of the most loathed aspects of the new Facebook app is that people are unable to use it without the app unnecessarily draining a bunch of your phone's battery. To avoid this, open Facebook in your mobile browser and press Add to Home Screen on an iPhone. It'll save the Facebook icon and load it like a normal app.

2. Send Facebook messages without the Messenger app

One of the most annoying things about opening Facebook app is that the entire messages section redirects to a download of the Messenger app. A way to avert this, however, is by beginning the download, then simply stopping it and returning to Facebook. The messages drop down should still be there.

3. Post by email

All accounts have a post-by-email address that can be used to post text or photos via email through this unique address. Find yours under Settings, in the Mobile section, and start sharing.

4. Disable the read receipts in messages

Some people are notoriously slow at responding to messages or simply want time to think before responding to something important another person may have said. Few people know, however, that there's

there is a way to disable these notifications.

5. Use emojis everywhere

Facebook actually allows all emojis to be shown as typed, as long as they were originally posted or sent in a message from the emoji keyboard on your phone or from a desktop extension on your computer.

6. Find friends near you

While a little creepy, Nearby Friends is an easy way of seeing if people happen to be around you, and, if so, give you the chance of potentially running into them. You can also share your location with your friends in situations where you'd rather have it tracked.

7. Use Facebook search wisely

Many people know that it's easy to search events, people, or businesses on Facebook. But next time, try something more specific, such as People who collect books in Brooklyn.Your oddly matching results will surprise you.

8. Search older posts by friends

Few people know that you can actually search your news feed for an old post by someone you can't remember. Throw in a look for who reposted that great chocolate video in order to pick up the recipe the second time around.

9. Facebook video and audio call

Surprisingly good quality and banned by very few WiFi networks Facebook calls are an easy way to talk to those you care about from all over the world.

Company confirms it will begin testing self-driving technology, but hasn't given any details

Apple will begin testing self-driving car technology in California, its first public move into a highly competitive field that could radically change transportation.

On Friday, the California Department of Motor Vehicles awarded the company a permit to test autonomous vehicles .
Friday and disclosed that information on its website

A spokesman for the department said the permit will cover three vehicles — all 2015 Lexus RX 450h hybrid SUVs — and six individual drivers. The state requires a human behind the wheel during such testing.

Apple confirmed that it will begin testing self-driving technology in the state, but provided no details. It pointed to a December statement it provided to federal regulators that stated Apple is investing heavily in "machine learning and autonomous systems" and noted "many potential applications" for these technologies.

1996-2017 VISUAL STORY OF GOOGLE SERPS

Over the past 20 years, Google has revolutionized how we source information, how we buy products, and how advertisers sell those products to us. And yet, one fact remains stubbornly true: the shop-front for brands on Google is still the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). The original lists of static results, comprised of what we nostalgically term ‘10 blue links’, have evolved into multi-media, cross-device, highly-personalized interfaces that can even adapt as we speak to them. There are now images, GIFs, news articles, videos, and podcasts in SERPs, all powered by algorithms that grow evermore sophisticated through machine learning. Nonetheless, in the face of such change, it still matters where our website ranks on those all-important SERPs. The content of those results pages, however, is in constant flux, as a result of 20 years of innovations and new products. We experience this evolution iteratively and, while we can all appreciate that significant changes have taken place, it can be easy to lose sight of the wider context and acknowledge just how radical the overhaul of Google results has been. Google hasn’t always got it right along the way, but it has always been willing to put its failures aside and invest again in new initiatives. As such, we thought it a good time to take a step back and look at Google’s evolution over the past two decades, its many successes and its few notable failures, through the lens of the humble SERP.
